Larrieu to miss first Grand Prix

Talented French teenager Loic Larrieu will miss the first Grand Prix of the year at Sevlievo in Bulgaria on April 3rd-4th. The 19 year old suffered a fall at Malpensa for the third round of the Italian Championship last weekend that left the Yamaha Monster Energy Ricci MX rider with a fractured left collarbone.

The ’10 machinery has received a youthful and modern look to completely reflect the innovative technology housed beneath. The Yamaha Monster Energy Motocross Team will be able to count on the technical expertise of renowned Swedish suspension specialists Ohlins for the 2010 FIM MX1 and MX2-GP World Championship after an alliance between the two parties was recently confirmed after successful initial tests.

The new YZ450FM of David Philippaerts and 2010 revised YZ250F of fresh recruit Gautier Paulin will embrace the technology of the firm established in 1976.

Yamaha Monster Energy Ricci Motocross Team’s Loic Larrieu will face a winter of recovery and rehabilitation after a practice crash last week left the French teenager with a set of dislocated shoulders.

The impressive 18 year old, who took a podium result at the Grand Prix of France during his maiden MX2-GP World championship campaign this summer, fell at a circuit in St Thibery, southern France last Thursday (8th October).

The fifteenth and final round of the MX2-GP World Championship took place at compact and twisty Canelinha circuit for the Grand Prix of Brazil and Yamaha Monster Energy Ricci MX Team’s Davide Guarneri ended his most consistent season to-date with 6th position and a final ranking of 4th in the series. On the same day Yamaha Monster Energy Gariboldi Racing’s Christophe Charlier won the final round of the 2009 European Championship and clinched the title with the YZ250F.
