A product of the Yamaha’s amateur racing programme Josh Hill seemed inevitably destined for a career in racing especially with a family who are passionate about the sport behind him.
After shining on YZ machinery through the amateur ranks, notably at Loretta Lynns in 2006, Hill got his big chance for 2007 and he fared well in both the supercross and motocross arenas. He reached a highest position of third in the West Coast series and also managed some decent performances on the bigger YZ450F in the AMA National MX competition, after initially taking some top ten finishes on the 250F in the Lites category.
A keen BMX rider and Wakeboarder, Josh is still only eighteen years of age as the 2008 AMA calendars get underway. The fact that he will be steering the 450 against the best America has to offer in just his second professional season is an indication of his talent and maturity.
