After an absence of one year, World Supersport championship winners Yamaha are back for the 2011 season. After a late agreement reached mid-way through the winter test season, Yamaha have teamed up with ParkinGO to challenge for the title this year.

The Yamaha ParkinGO Team, as they will be known, will have the 2009 World Supersport Championship winning R6 bikes of Cal Crutchlow along with Yamaha genuine racing parts provided to them.
Yamaha technical staff will provide behind the scenes support on an ongoing basis throughout the season.
The ParkinGO Team have entered each of the last three seasons of the World Supersport Championship with a different manufacturer, most recently Triumph were rider Chaz Davies ending the season in fourth and teammate David Salom in fifth.

The new bikes also see a new rider as Italian Luca Scassa joins after his 2010 stint in World Superbikes.
Team owner Giuliano Rovelli, Chief Executive Officer of Oasi S.r.l. Servizi Aeroportuali, was a rider himself in the early nineties and is involved in a number of activities including the ParkinGO Company, the first network of airport parking facilities in Italy.
