McElrath Starts off RedBud Doubleheader with Podium Finish

Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing’s Shane McElrath bounced back from a tough first moto to lead laps and come out third overall based on his 8-2 moto scores at Round 4 of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship at RedBud in Buchanan, Michigan. The first of two rounds held at the infamous track was full of ups and downs, with one of the top moments being Ty Masterpool grabbing the holeshot in his return to racing, eventually ending the day in eighth overall (3-13). Dylan Ferrandis came through the pack in both motos, finishing just off the podium in fourth with a 7-3 tally, while Justin Cooper also found himself inside the top-10 with his 9-6 results awarding him ninth overall.
Ferrandis Continues Championship Charge at Ironman National

Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing’s Dylan Ferrandis held onto his 250MX points lead with two stellar performances at the Ironman National: a dominant win in the first moto and a heroic charge from last to third after a first-lap crash in Moto 2 to finish second overall. His teammate Justin Cooper rebounded from an eighth-place finish in Moto 1 and returned to form in the second moto with a solid second-place for fourth overall. Shane McElrath was seventh overall on a tough day, having to work his way back from two difficult starts (6-10).
Ferrandis Finishes Second at Tough Loretta Lynn’s II

The reigning 250SX West Champion Dylan Ferrandis solidified his place at the top of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship with a solid 2-4 finish at a very wet and muddy Loretta Lynn’s II in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. His nearest Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing teammate Shane McElrath finished a strong fifth overall with an 8-3 score, with Justin Cooper finishing the weekend 11th overall with a 20-6 tally.

Back-to-back 250SX West Champion Dylan Ferrandis launched his campaign for the 250MX crown with a dominant win in both motos at the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross season opener at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. His Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing teammate Shane McElrath got off to a solid start with a pair of fourth-place finishes for fourth overall. Justin Cooper fought back from a tough first moto to end the day eighth overall with a 10-8 tally.
Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing Teams Ends Season on a High Note with Another 1-2 Finish at Finale

Dylan Ferrandis once again proved unbeatable as the Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing Team rider swept the Pro Motocross Finale at Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana, to score his fourth overall victory in the 250MX class in 2019. His teammate Justin Cooper scored his ninth podium this season with a second overall finish (3-2), also marking the team’s seventh double podium in the championship this year. Rookie Ty Masterpool finished 11th (10-12), while a crash in the first moto ended Mitchell Oldenburg’s day early.
Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing Team’s Cooper Lands on the Podium for the Eighth Time This Season at Budds Creek

Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing Team battled the heat and humidity of Mechanicsville, Maryland with Justin Cooper coming away with his eighth podium of the season with a third overall (6-2). The track at Budds Creek Motocross Park proved challenging with Dylan Ferrandis overcoming issues to finish fourth overall (4-4). Ferrandis is 30 points back with one round remaining. Rookie Ty Masterpool grabbed the team’s 14th holeshot of the season and went on to score his third top-10 in eighth overall (7-11). Mitchell Oldenburg almost grabbed another holeshot in Moto 2 and led the field around the first lap before finishing the day 14th overall with a 16-10. Colt Nichols ended his day early with a crash in Moto 1 and was credited 41st.
