Since his AMA Pro debut in 2015, 24-year-old rider Colt Nichols from Muskogee, Oklahoma has steadily improved his results, scoring a podium at Oakland Supercross and finishing in the top five in the 2016 250SX West standings. Although the 2017 250SX season was cut short with injury, he finished seventh in the AMA 250MX Championship. 2018 brought further misfortune for Nichols, Another early-season injury prevented him from competing in the remaining 250SX East series.
Nichols started his 2019 season off strong with a first career victory in Anaheim, CA at round one of Supercross. He finished his season on high note by taking third in the 250SX West standings. 2020 got off to a rough start as Nichols was sidelined with injuries, but with the Covid-19 delayed Pro Motocross season the Oklahoman has had some extra time to get back to full fitness and looks to come back swinging.
