With his Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing teammate out of action while he recovers from a heel injury sustained at the Daytona Supercross, Barcia worked himself back up to speed quickly during practice and qualifying. He then went on to notch a solid, fifth-place result in his heat in spite of getting off the gate late.
In the main event, Barcia got a decent start in sixth and moved up to fifth in short fashion, running consistent laps to maintain a top-five result all the way to the end.
Barcia and his Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing Team will now head back west for round 11 at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Washington, Saturday, March 23.
