Barcia and Grant went into the 14th round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship hoping for a change of luck at an all-new venue for the series. In spite of the challenging track conditions, the pair had a decent qualifying effort and continued to make progress with a solid finish in the heat races.
After the first handful of laps into the main, Grant went down exiting the whoops, causing damage to his machine and was unable to continue. His teammate Barcia, who is still riding through nagging injuries was in a solid top-10 position.
He too unfortunately was unable finish the race after hitting a tuff block in the rhythm section.
The Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing Team head back west to Denver, Colorado, for round 15 of the championship at the Bronco Stadium at Mile High, Saturday, April 13.
