Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing 450 Team

Founded in 1999 by entrepreneur Bobby Reagan, Star Racing built a reputation as one of the top privateer teams in the sport of supercross and motocross. In 2005, that reputation ultimately secured the support of Factory Yamaha.

As a long-time partner in the 250 support class and amateur ranks, the team enjoyed a history of success with 11 titles in the professional championships and multiple Amateur National titles. In 2020, Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA (YMUS), announced a three-year partnership with the Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing team to field their campaign in both the 450 and 250 classes of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross and Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championships.

2021 marked a stellar debut season in the premier class. After a solid start to the year in supercross, with all three riders earning their first 450SX podium and ending the year inside the top 10, they really hit the ground running in the outdoor season. Dylan Ferrandis claimed the title a weekend early with six overall wins and never finished off the podium. The accolades continued as Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A. earned Manufacturer of the Year honors, and the Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing Team was named Team of the Year. The series also awarded Jeremy Coker Team Manager of the Year and the 450 Mechanic of the Year went to Ferrandis’ mechanic, Alex Campbell.

Ferrandis returns in 2022 and looks to keep that momentum rolling into the New Year and fight for another number-one plate. New to the team is Eli Tomac, who brings a wealth of experience as a multi-time champion and the winningest rider currently active in the premier class. The team has been hard at work at their new facility in Cairo, Georgia, and looks to build on this year’s successful premier class debut.

The Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing team would like to thank its partners for their support: Monster Energy, Yamaha Financial Services (YMFUS), Yamalube, GYTR, Parts Unlimited, CWI, Rekluse, FMF, Dunlop, Works Connection, VP Fuels, Kite, Twin Air, KYB, Cycra, Pro Taper, Excel, Vortex EK, Vortex ECU, D’Cor, Braking, Neken, ARC, Mettec Titanium, Motion Pro, Lightspeed, G2 Ergonomics, Antigravity Batteries, Matrix Concepts, and Boxo Tools.
