Takuya Fujita

In 2010, Takuya Fujita made his debut in the All Japan Road Race Championship’s premier JSB1000 class at the young age of 15. He has steadily improved over the course of five seasons, and thanks to his wealth of experience and future potential, he was called to join Yamaha’s youth development Yamalube Racing Team for the 2015 season.

He sustained injuries before the opening round and was forced to miss out on the first three races, but he finished on the podium for the first time with 3rd place in his comeback race, making a big step towards becoming a top rider in the class. 2016 looked to be a big breakout season for him, but trouble and bad luck kept him from the results he wanted and he ended the season in 9th. However, in 2017 he finished on the podium in 3rd at the opening round and was consistently among the frontrunners, finishing as the top Yamaha rider of the season in 4th and showing solid progress as a rider.

With endurance racing, he has entered the Suzuka 8 Hours two times with a privateer team and raced as a factory Yamaha rider on the YART Yamaha Official EWC Team in 2016, aiding them to secure their 4th place finish. He returned to the team full time for the second round of the 2017/2018 FIM EWC Championship, replacing Kohta Nozane for the rest for the season.
