Elzinga & Van De Ven Victorious in Mantova
06 March 2022 Hutten Metaal Yamaha Official EMX250’s Rick Elzinga got his 2022 EMX250 title campaign off to a perfect start. The 20-year-old Dutchman celebrated his third-ever race win and mounted the top step of the podium at the opening round of the EMX250 Championship in Mantova, Italy, to take the first red plate of the new season.

MJC Yamaha Official EMX125 Team Show Signs of Great Potential in Great Britain
27 February 2022 The opening round of the highly competitive EMX125 Championship at Matterley Basin, in Winchester, England, was a tale of two halves for MJC Yamaha Official EMX125’s Ferruccio Zanchi. The 15-year-old Italian sensation celebrated an incredible race win on Saturday but was unable to finish race two after a heavy fall on Sunday. He still finished eighth overall at the round of Great Britain, while teammates Karlis Reisulis and Ivano van Erp also proved they had the pace to challenge the crown this season but had their results spoiled by crashes. Van Erp rounded out the top-10 in the final classification while Reisulis finished up 12th.

Yamaha Confirms 2022 EMX125 & EMX250 Line Up
08 December 2021 Yamaha Motor Europe is delighted to announce that EMX250 bronze medalist Rick Elzinga will join fellow EMX250 title challengers Andrea Bonacorsi and Dave Kooiker at the Hutten Metaal Yamaha Official EMX250 team for the 2022 EMX250 European Championship campaign. Meanwhile, the MJC Yamaha Official EMX125 team has retained its current crop of young stars, Ivano van Erp, Karlis Reisulis and Ferruccio Zanchi, for the 2022 EMX125 season.

Fredriksen Victorious & Reisulis on Second Step at Final EMX250 & EMX125 Rounds in Mantova
09 November 2021 Riley Yamaha Racing’s Hakon Fredriksen reigned supreme at the 10th and final round of the EMX250 Championship in Mantova, Italy. The tall Norwegian raced his YZ250F to second position in both races for his second overall victory of the season. At the same time, MJC Yamaha Official EMX125’s Karlis Reisulis celebrated the ninth and final round of the EMX125 Championship on the second step of the podium after a hard-fought race to the third and sixth positions in the two championship races. Teammate Ivano van Erp bounced back from a challenging opening race, in which he finished 15th, to prove his true potential with a solid second-place finish in the final outing, while Ferruccio Zanchi went 5-12 for ninth.

Third for Fredriksen in Mantova
06 November 2021 The ninth and penultimate round of the EMX250 Championship in Mantova, Italy was marked by Hakon Fredriksen’s speed and consistency aboard his Riley Yamaha Racing YZ250F. The tall Norwegian uncorked his third bottle of podium champagne in 2021 on the third step of the box after finishing fifth and second in the two championship races. Hutten Metaal Yamaha Official EMX250’s Andrea Bonacorsi has moved up to fourth position in the championship standings after finishing fourth and seventh in the races for fifth overall.

Reisulis Takes GYTR Kitted YZ125 to Sensational Second Overall
30 October 2021 Yamaha celebrated another successful day of racing in Pietramurata, Italy, with the venue hosting round eight of the EMX250 and EMX125 Championships. MJC Yamaha Official EMX125’s Karlis Reisulis took his GYTR kitted YZ125 to two top-three race finishes for second overall – he was second in race one and third in race two. Hutten Metaal Yamaha Official EMX250’s rookie sensation Andrea Bonacorsi started the day with a thrilling race win, but after crashes spoiled the final race, he was classified fourth overall. At the same time, Riley Yamaha Racing’s Hakon Fredriksen took his YZ250F to the third step of the EMX250 podium, while teammate Cornelius Toendel rounded out the top-five.
