The 2020 Monster Energy Attack Performance Yamaha Racing YZF R1 returns to MotoAmerica. Within the Superbike class, the YZF R1 will proudly be displaying the #1 plate for the ninth time in the past 10 years! Beginning as a production unit and competing in a class where engine rules are heavily regulated, the Yamaha YZF R1 has proven to be a high-performance machine from both an engine and handling perspective. While pistons, rods and valves must remain in standard form, camshaft profiles and cylinder head decking and porting are open for modification.
Electronics are also permitted for change to allow for precise adjustment to the fuel and spark maps, performance strategies and data collection. Every part on the 2020 Yamaha YZF R1 Superbike is scrutinized and enhanced for increased performance while ensuring that the minimum weight of 370 pounds is achieved. With the knowledge and development gained over the past five years, coupled with the engineering and race-tuning capabilities of Attack Performance, the 2020 Yamaha R1 Superbike is positioned to win yet another MotoAmerica Championship.
