Jake Gagne

Jake Gagne

Jake Gagne is eager to start his 2021 MotoAmerica Superbike Championship campaign. After a solid first season with the team finishing second overall in the standings behind teammate Cameron Beaubier with 11 podiums, the Californian heads into the new year with a lot of confidence.

Coming from a motocross background, Gagne showed promise early on in his road racing efforts and won the 2010 MotoGP Red Bull Rookies Cup. In 2014, he won his first National Championship aboard the Yamaha R6 in the AMA Daytona SportBike Championship. As the U.S. National road racing championship changed in 2015, Gagne moved up to the highly competitive MotoAmerica Superstock 1000 class. He continued to show championship form to take his second major title and dominated the class with 11 victories aboard the R1.

After a stint in the World Superbike Championship in 2018, Gagne returned to the U.S. to test his skills in the MotoAmerica Superbike Championship. Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA, has always kept its eyes on the talented Californian. With Garrett Gerloff moving to Yamaha’s World Superbike Junior Team for 2020, the timing was right to bring Gagne back to the bLU cRU and put him aboard the Attack Performance Yamaha Racing prepped R1.
