Wilvo Yamaha Official MXGP have joined the Yamaha's factory outfit Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing in the world's most prestigious motocross series, MXGP. Only two rounds in, the all new team has already had a grand prix win with Shaun Simpson's emphatic performance at the MXGP of Indonesia. This issue takes a closer look at the team and their transition to MXGP after making the jump from the traditional feeder class MX2.
Yamaha is on a mission to develop the next generation of talent across the board. Insider Racing Digital spoke to the winner of the inaugural YZ125 Cup, Tim Edberg, who at 15-years-old had his dream come true when he was awarded a place on the MJC Yamaha Official EMX125 team to compete in the 2017 European Championship's EMX125 series. Due to the success of the bLU cRU challenge in motocross, Yamaha have now introduced this new initiative to road-racing with the R3 bLU cRU Cup which Yamaha Motor Europe's bLU cRU Racing Manager Alberto Barozzi further explains.
