Confidence Boosting Win for Paturel in France

Kemea Yamaha's MX2 'title favorite' Benoit Paturel has strengthened his label with an emphatic win at the French International, Lacapelle Marival, yesterday. The twenty-two year-old Frenchman was victorious against a deep field of MX2 stars with a 2-1 result landing him on the top step of the podium for the first time this year. With its clay base ripped to perfection the Lacapelle Marival circuit, located 2 hours North of Toulouse, was paradise for any rider fond of jumps and ruts. While the hard and tacky surface suited Paturel down to the ground, it was more of challenge for his Kemea Yamaha Official MX2 teammates Alvin Östlund and Brent Van doninck who tend to prefer sand tracks.

Embracing the challenge, Östlund put in an exceptional ride in the opening race where he finished 4th, and paired with his 9th in race 2, he finished 7th overall ahead of his teammate, Van doninck, who went 8-6 for 8th.

"I had a really good feeling yesterday," Paturel said, "the bike was working perfect, and it's good to get a win before flying out to round 1 of the world championship in Qatar, I'm ready for battle!"

All three young talents have had a solid off-season and are looking sharp for the first round of the MX2 world championship which will take place at the world renowned circuit of Losail, Qatar, on the 24th and 25th of Feb
