Infront Moto Racing announced a new schedule that would see each class have a combined Free and Timed Practice session. The qualifying races for the MXGP and MX2 classes were canceled and there was no further on-track action for the MXGP and MX2 riders.
In MX2, Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2’s 19-year-old title threat Jago Geerts showed a glimpse of his pace with an impressive 2:39.045 lap time. He was third in the classification, only 0.600 off the top time.
Still nursing a hand injury, Ben Watson qualified 12th with a time of 2:41.422. As a result of the annulled sessions, the lap times from the 35-minute practice session will determine the order in which the riders will go to the gate for the two championship races tomorrow, March 1st. The opening MX2 race will take place at 12:15 (GMT) followed by Race 2 at 15:10 (GMT). All races can be watched live on www.mxgp-tv.com
