Seewer to Start-Storm Struck Turkish Grand Prix from Third

The Turkish Grand Prix, round 17 of the FIM Motocross World Championship, got off to a challenging start with wet and stormy weather that forced the cancellation of the MXGP Qualifying Race for safety reasons. However, the MX2 class completed a full-length Qualifying Race, battling through a down pour of rain in the final 10-minutes. Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2's Jago Geerts demonstrated his determination, securing an impressive fourth-place finish, while teammate Rick Elzinga faced difficulties but managed to finish 14th.

The cancellation of the MXGP Qualifying Race due to force majeure circumstances means that the riders will line up for the Grand Prix based on their lap times in the Timed Practice session. As a result, Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP's Jeremy Seewer will start from third position, while teammates Glenn Coldenhoff and Maxime Renaux will line up in the 11th and 12th positions, respectively.

Despite the unusual circumstances faced today, the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP and MX2 teams remain focused and determined to overcome any obstacles that come their way as they get set to line up for the Turkish Grand Prix tomorrow.
