Riders and Teams Shaun Simpson

Shaun Simpson

As one of the most down-to-earth and friendly riders in the paddock, there is an army of fans hoping this likeable Scot will rattle some cages in MXGP this year. For those that don’t know a lot about him, he won the very last FIM Motocross MX1 Grand Prix in 2013 on a YZ450F in the sand of Lierop, The Netherlands and was the only Grand Prix winner for Yamaha in 2017. He comes from a true blue motocross family, his father Willie Simpson is a former Grand Prix rider, while his brother Stefan is often spotted on the tools as his mechanic. Family is an essential piece to Shaun’s puzzle, and with their full support, he has become one of Great Britain’s finest as a multi-time British champion, and a guy that can challenge for grand prix wins.
