Florian Marino

24-year-old French rider Florian Marino enjoyed a superb 2017 FIM Superstock 1000 European Championship after injury had curtailed his 2016 campaign. Showing incredible desire to return to racing after a serious injury, the former WorldSSP and Moto2 rider recorded five podiums across the year and was in the hunt for the title right up until the final round of the season. Marino eventually fished third overall with 120 points, just 18 behind the eventual winner, and is looking forward to mounting an even stronger title challenge in 2018. The 2006 European Superstock 600 runner-up now has 18 podiums and four victories to his name in the WorldSBK paddock and once again he will be riding an Yamaha YZF-R1 in 2018.
