The good work done yesterday allowed Garrett Gerloff to immediately set the third fastest time in Free Practice 3, with a 1'36.709. In the Tissot Superpole, he was not able to replicate the same performance and his 1'36.926 only gave him 12th on the grid. His race was consistent but Gerloff could not storm through the field as he usually does, having lost a couple of positions at the start, the American soon recovered but could not join the battle of the group of riders in front of him and had to settle for an 11th-place finish.
Kohta Nozane’s day, instead, was similar to yesterday when it comes to the results but the Japanese continued improving his pace throughout all sessions. In FP3 he was 19th (1'39.539) but already faster than yesterday. He then made massive progress in the Superpole, in which he qualified 18th, 1.5s faster than in the morning (1'37.997). In the race, though, his pace was still not quick enough to allow him to get closer to his teammate and to the points, and Nozane crossed the finish line in 17th place.
