Having completed the first outing of 2022 season, both riders and the crew will continue their work with the Yamaha R1 bikes for another two days of testing, gearing up their preparation for the upcoming FIM World Superbike Championship season.
Previously in Aragón, Nozane had the opportunity to regain feeling on the Yamaha R1 after the Winter break. The Japanese rider and the GRT Yamaha team tested many items, being able to complete 74 laps in total with more work to do at Misano.
On the other side of the box, Gerloff got his first laps on the R1 this year in Spain. The American rider and the team enjoyed the two days in Aragón, trialing parts and focusing on getting the feeling back. Gerloff ended his first roll-out with 85 laps in total and knows the work that needs to be done with the GRT Yamaha team for the Misano test.
After this, the GRT Yamaha squad will head to Barcelona for the test on 25-26 March, before the final official test with all teams scheduled for 4-5 April in Aragon. That will take place just a few days before the 2022 FIM World Superbike Championship season gets underway with Round 1 at the Teruel venue.
