Michael van der Mark

24-year-old Michael van der Mark has been a revelation in the Superbike World Championship since his full-time introduction in 2011. Placing 3rd in the European Superstock 600 Championship in his debut year, the talented Dutchman became Champion in his second season. A pattern he repeated as his career progressed, 2014 saw him become FIM Supersport World Champion alongside claiming his second consecutive victory at the prestigious Suzuka 8Hours. 


Van der Mark moves to Yamaha for his third year in the premier production class with nine podiums and one pole position to his name so far. His natural pace and determination to win creates the series’ youngest and most aggressive rider pairing alongside Alex Lowes, as together with their YZF-R1’s they strive to secure top results.
