Caricasulo Claims Pole Position in Rain Disrupted WorldSSP Superpole

Bardahl Evan Bros. Yamaha Supported WorldSSP rider, Federico Caricasulo, will start from pole position for the second time this season in tomorrow's 20-lap WorldSSP race. The Italian, who currently lies second in the World Championship standings, only completed four laps in a rain disrupted qualifying session, but it was enough for him to claim the top spot with a 0.7s advantage of his closest rival.

GMT94 Yamaha Supported WorldSSP rider, Jules Cluzel, who had been fastest in the dry all weekend, had to settle for a start from the head of the second row of the grid after qualifying in fourth place.

Isaac Viñales was the best of the three Kallio Racing Yamaha Supported WorldSSP riders in eighth, while his teammates Thomas Gradinger and Loris Cresson qualified 15th and 17th respectively.

The biggest surprise in qualifying was Randy Krummenacher, with the championship leader only managing to finish 11th, meaning he faces a start from the fourth row of the grid tomorrow, one place ahead of GMT94 Yamaha's Corentin Perolari in 12th.
