The WorldSSP class were treated to dry weather for their first track outing in FP1, which presented a good opportunity to get used to the track surface and try the different Pirelli tyre options on offer. Following from his great performance last time out in Imola where he got a double win, Manzi was quick to place himself among the top names in Most, eventually finishing third. Glenn van Straalen (EAB Racing Team) also felt comfortable on the Czech track and he managed fifth in the morning.
The afternoon’s FP2 also remained dry, although it was interrupted by a red flag towards the end of the session just when the riders started to enter their time attacks. It was Navarro who shone for the R6 brigade, the Spaniard taking a decent fourth in session and fourth on combined. Valentin Debise (GMT94 Yamaha) was close behind in sixth on combined. Manzi finished Friday in seventh but, at just +0.403 down, feels confident of his potential pace for Saturday.
