In the morning’s FP1 session, Manzi could only manage 6th place but the Italian soon picked up the pace. His team-mate, Jorge Navarro was close behind in seventh. Valentin Debise (GMT94 Yamaha) continued his good comeback with ninth in FP1.
FP2 was boiling hot around the classic Italian track, and most riders picked up the pace in the afternoon. Manzi closed the session 2nd with a 1’52.002, which gave him second overall on the day. Debise closed Friday in 6th on combined, with Navarro in 12th. Filippo Fuligni (Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team) impressed as he stepped in for the injured Andrea Mantovani, closing Friday in 14th. Reigning WorldSSP300 Champion Alvaro Diaz was one place behind in 15th.
