FP1 saw Corsi battle his way to fourth place on his R6. Meanwhile, despite a crash, Stefano Manzi (Ten Kate Racing Yamaha) placed sixth ahead of fellow Italian Marco Bussolotti (Axon Seven Team). Meanwhile, regular front-runners Nicholas Spinelli (VFT Racing WEBIKE Yamaha), Jorge Navarro (Ten Kate Racing Yamaha) and Andrea Mantovani (Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team) struggled to find the pace in the first session of the day.
In Friday afternoon’s second session Manzi was unable to set a time within 110% after his FP1 crash - the Italian exited the pits but had to stop due to a technical problem and he was unable to return to the track before the end of the session. However, he still managed to finish 10th on combined thanks to his solid sixth in FP1. Corsi took second in the session, and therefore second on the day, while Navarro put the morning’s disappointment behind him as he rose through the order to ninth in FP2 and the same position on combined.
