A former Red Bull Rookie, Corentin Perolari’s path to the Supersport World Championship was not a traditional one. The Frenchman won the Spanish Open 600 class in 2016 and then moved on to contest the European Moto2 Championship the following season.
In 2018 Perolari was called up by GMT Yamaha to contest WorldSSP as the team’s sole rider and the Frenchman made an immediate impact on the championship, finishing regularly in the top six and securing his best result of the season in Argentina, where he finished in fifth position.
2019 marked the 20-year-old’s first full season in WorldSSP with the GMT Yamaha squad, where he rode alongside Jules Cluzel.
Perolari stays with the GMT94 squad for 2020 alongside Cluzel, where he will aim to build on the progress made in 2019 to score podiums and help the team to the top of the standings.
