Valentin Debise has established himself as one of the top riders in the French Supersport and Superbike Championships, winning the 600cc title in both 2021 and 2022.
After winning the 125cc French Championship in 2008, Debise then joined the Grand Prix paddock in 2009, finishing 18th in the 250cc class. He remained in Moto2 for the next two seasons, before turning to the FIM Supersport World Championship in 2012.
There, the French rider showed glimpses of his potential, with a best result of eighth over two partial seasons, and in 2016 he switched to the MotoAmerica Supersport championship. Debise finished a strong third in his maiden season, matching that again in 2017 and 2018.
After five race wins and 29 podiums, Debise stepped away from the championship in 2019, and after starring nationally, the GMT94 Yamaha team called him up as a wildcard for four rounds of the 2021 WorldSSP championship. He impressed on his outings, with a pair of six-place results in Argentina, and the following season the team brought him back for two more wildcard rounds.
Fourth in both Most and Magny-Cours earned more praises, and for 2023, Debise will race for GMT94 Yamaha full-time as the team's solo entrant with targets of regular podiums and victories.
