Launch of the 2019 Moto X Racing Team in Italy, Along with Galang Hendra's Birthday

The Moto X Racing Team officially launched their 2019 livery for the FIM Supersport 300 World Championship (WorldSSP300), which is actually part of the 2019 WorldSBK series. This special moment took place at Rome Motodays, Italy on Sunday 10th March.

In this case, along with Yamaha Indonesia guided riders, Galang Hendra Pratama is part of the Moto X Racing team squad. The 20-year-old rider from Yogyakarta is ready to fight for the best achievement on the all-new Yamaha YZF-R3 race bike, in what will be his second full season in WorldSSP300.Galang Hendra Prtatama is already a two-time winner in the WorldSSP300 class.

The Indonesian rider won in Jerez in 2017, only his second race as a wild card in the class, and then backed that up with victory in Brno, Czech Republic the following season, on his way to finishing tenth in the overall championship standings.

This season Galang Hendra Pratama will be competing in WorldSSP300 alongside five other young talented riders as part of the Yamaha R3 bLU cRU Challenge. The Indonesian will be joined in the Moto x Racing Team by Jacopo Facco (Italy). Finn De Bruin (Netherlands) and Kevin Sabatucci (Italy) will team up in the Trasimeno Team, while Beatriz Neila (Spain) and Andy Verdoïa (France) will race as part of the BCD MS Team.

The Yamaha bLU cRU program itself is designed to provide realistic and clear career progression for talented young riders who have their sights set on racing in the WorldSBK championship. For 2019 there are six riders promoted from the various national R3 bLU cRU Challenges who will step up with support from Yamaha to contest the WorldSSP300 Championship.

The Moto X Racing team will be supported by a new partnership between Yamaha Motor Europe and Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) which sees the two brands working together to help and develop the best young riders from the region. YIMM is a company that manufactures and distributes Yamaha motorcycles in Indonesia with Yamaha Indonesia's slogan "Semakin Di Depan” which means "One Step Forward". A philosophy that embodies everything YIMM wants to achieve, offers better products to customers, better after-sales services and customer satisfaction.

This will be my second full season in WorldSSP300 and it's nice that the team launch was on the same day as my birthday, giving me two things to celebrate. After my victory in races in Jerez, Spain (2017) and Brno, Czech Republic (2018), I feel honored and proud in this second year to get the chance to represent Yamaha and Indonesia again in the Yamaha R3 BLU cRU Challenge and WorldSSP300 Championship. I hope to be more competitive this season and to be able to fight for podium finishes as often as possible. Thank you to all the people at Yamaha Indonesia, Yamaha Motor Europe and Team Moto X Racing for giving me the opportunity to show my abilities again on the world stage.

To be a part of the bLU cRU program and to experience racing on the world stage with the Yamaha racing family is like a dream come true for me. It will be my first full International season and I'm very determined to do my very best to have the best results possible in WorldSSP300, as well as trying to win the R3 bLU cRU Challenge, I tested the new R3 in Spain few weeks ago and first impressions were very good. The Moto X Racing Team did a good job and I cannot wait to ride the bike again. A lot of fast riders take part in WorldSSP300; It will be a big challenge but I am ready.
