The 20-year-old rider from Yogyakarta is ready to fight for the best achievement on the all-new Yamaha YZF-R3 race bike, in what will be his second full season in WorldSSP300.Galang Hendra Prtatama is already a two-time winner in the WorldSSP300 class.
The Indonesian rider won in Jerez in 2017, only his second race as a wild card in the class, and then backed that up with victory in Brno, Czech Republic the following season, on his way to finishing tenth in the overall championship standings.
This season Galang Hendra Pratama will be competing in WorldSSP300 alongside five other young talented riders as part of the Yamaha R3 bLU cRU Challenge. The Indonesian will be joined in the Moto x Racing Team by Jacopo Facco (Italy). Finn De Bruin (Netherlands) and Kevin Sabatucci (Italy) will team up in the Trasimeno Team, while Beatriz Neila (Spain) and Andy Verdoïa (France) will race as part of the BCD MS Team.
The Yamaha bLU cRU program itself is designed to provide realistic and clear career progression for talented young riders who have their sights set on racing in the WorldSBK championship. For 2019 there are six riders promoted from the various national R3 bLU cRU Challenges who will step up with support from Yamaha to contest the WorldSSP300 Championship.
