Rising Spanish star Iker Garcia Abella was crowned the inaugural Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup winner in 2021, which earned him a promotion to the FIM Supersport 300 World Championship with the Yamaha MS Racing WorldSSP300 Supported Team.

The 17-year-old was a three-time race winner and only finished off the podium three times in what was an impressive campaign. Garcia Abella will be keen to use his experience gained in the all-Yamaha R3 championship last year to quickly join the front battle in the ultra-competitive WorldSSP300 championship.
