What is the YXZ1000R Cup

The YXZ1000R Cup is a mono-brand racing community that features within multiple national championships across Europe.

The Cup takes place in six countries: Spain, Portugal, Germany, Italy, France, and the United Kingdom, with each National Cup featuring a minimum of three races.

Competitors can enter the Stock category for unmodified vehicles. Both pilot and co-pilot must be over 18 years of age with a national federation license to enter.

The top-scoring racers in the Stock category from each National Cup qualify and are entitled to a free entry for a unique SuperFinale event held during the Baja Portalegre in Portugal, running from the 26th-28th of October 2023.

The winners of the Stock category at the SuperFinale will receive a prize of €15,000, which must be used to compete in at least three rounds of the 2024 FIA European Cup for Cross-Country Bajas.

The 2023 Cup will also field wildcard entries in the SuperFinale. The top finishing YXZ1000R in the Stock category at the Endurance Masters in Germany, the Baja Aragon in Spain, and the Baja TT Sharish Reguengos in Portugal, will automatically qualify for the SuperFinale, joining the qualifiers from the National Cups. Plus, every all-female crew will also automatically qualify directly for the SuperFinale.

Running parallel to the official YXZ1000R European Cup will be the YXZ1000R Open Challenge, an overall ranking for racers competing outside of the Cup regardless of their racing preparation type.

YXZ1000R Cup and Open Challenge crews eligible for the 2023 YXZ1000R European Cup SuperFinale at the Baja Portalegre should download and return the registration form. The registration form can be found by clicking here. The completed form should be returned by email to yxz1000rcup@yamaha-racing.com.
