De Ganay dominates opening round in France at Serre Chevalier

Stephane De Ganay was in total control at the opening round of the 2019 YXZ1000R Cup France, winning six stages to record a commanding win. Held at the Serre Chevalier Ice Track on 9-10 February, the race also served as the opening round of the YXZ1000R Cup France.

Featuring 27 Yamaha YXZ1000Rs across seven thrilling stages of ice racing, De Ganay showed remarkable consistency to win six of the seven stages and overall victory of the round. Behind De Ganay, competitor Louis Meric completed an impressive round of his own, taking a top two finish in every stage to finish the round a strong second place. Herve Knapick Lemonnier also impressed throughout the weekend, scoring big in six stages before unfortunately withdrawing from the final stage to finish 4th overall.

The second round of the YXZ1000R Cup France will return to racing at Saint Laurent d’Arce on 16-17 March.
