The program that has been carefully constructed to provide a smooth progression for young riders coming into the world of racing, from entry-level all the way to the top, MXGP and MX2, with the ultimate prize of a place on an Official Team, or support from Yamaha Motor Europe N.V. for the winning riders' following season. How do I join one of the YZ bLU cRU FIM Europe Cups?

Apply online at www.Yamaha-Racing.com. Applications are currently closed now for the 2019 YZ bLU cRU FIM Europe Cup's.

Please check back on our website www.yamaha-racing.com in November for your chance to enter by filling in an online application form with your details. When is the entry deadline?

Entries usually close at the end of February.

The exact date will be announced later this year. Are there age restrictions?

 Yes. The YZ125 bLU cRU FIM Europe Cup is open to riders under the age of 16 years old. 

The YZ85 bLU cRU FIM Europe Cup is open to riders under the age of 14 years old and the YZ65 bLU cRU FIM Europe Cup is open to riders under the age of 11 years old.

The maximum age finishes at the end of each calendar year, on 31st December, in which the rider reaches the age of 11 for 65, 14 for 85, or 16 for 125.

Each class also has a minimum age requirement, 8 for 65, 11 for 85, or 13 for 125.

Do I need to ride a particular bike?

Yes, you will need to ride either a YZ125, YZ85 or YZ65. The model year of the bike does not matter. Are there any costs involved?

No, it is free to enter, but please take note; all participation costs of this Cup in terms of each riders attendance at the national championships, SuperFinale and bLU cRU Masterclass will be the riders responsibility, including but not limited to transport and logistics, bike purchase and usage, parts, mechanical & assistance, licensing for national championship and SuperFinale.

There is no subscriptionfee for the SuperFinale, which will take place at the Monster Energy FIM Motocross, and the Masterclass. What do I get for joining?

Successful applicants will receive an authorized YZ bLU cRU FIM Europe Cup sticker Kit for their motorcycle, which the rider MUST use in one of the 17 approved National Championships.

They will also receive some Official Paddock Blue clothing that includes 2x T-Shirts, 1x Hoody, 1x Umbrella, 1x Cap and 1x back-pack. If more items are required, such as the Yamaha Racing MX gear and bike sticker kits, these should be requested to YME National branches, through bLU cRU coordinator and these will be provided for a promotional cost.

Which countries have approved championships?

Group A: Spain, Italy, France, UK, Germany, the NetherlandsGroup B: Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland Group C: Greece, Portugal, Poland, Turkey, Ukraine, Latvia, Estonia, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria.

Each country has a different number of rounds, please contact your local Yamaha Distributor for more information. 

How do I qualify for the SuperFinale?

The top performing riders (up to a maximum of 40) in their (approved) National Championships will be invited by the National Yamaha distributor to race the YZ bLU cRU FIM Europe Cup SuperFinale, a true international race held at one of the world's biggest motocross events.

What is the SuperFinale?

The YZ bLU cRU FIM Europe Cup SuperFinale is an event that allows 120 of the fastest and most promising bLU cRU riders line their YZ65, 85 and 125 motorcycles up at one of the most prestigious motocross events of the year.  It is designed to works as a bridge between national and international level racing. For the next three years, through 2021, the SuperFinale will take place at the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations.

This year it will be at the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations in Assen, The Netherlands on the weekend of September 29th. What happens at the SuperFinale?At the SuperFinale, each class will have two practice sessions and one race. The top-three race finishers and two wildcards in each category will progress to the bLU cRU Masterclass in November.

What is the bLU cRU Masterclass?

The bLU cRU Masterclass brings the qualifying YZ bLU cRU riders together were they are able to train and learn with some of their road-racing counterparts in a two-day Masterclass.

The motocross section of the Masterclass will take place under the guidance, supervision and advise of the bLU cRU Ambassadors, Jeremy Seewer, Arnaud Tonus and Gautier Paulin. From this, one lucky rider will win the ultimate prize where he or she will be picked to receive support in their quests to contest the European Championship.

For the winner of the YZ125 bLU cRU FIM Europe Cup, he or she will join the MJC Yamaha EMX125 team, while the EMX85 and EMX65 riders will receive support for Yamaha Motor Europe N.V. for the 2020 season.  

How do I win the YZ bLU cRU FIM Europe Cup?

At the bLU cRU Masterclass the riders will be closely observed by a team of professionals and bLU cRUambassadors. Each riders' skill set and determination will be analyzed by the team, as will each riders attitude, determination and willingness to learn. There are three classes, and consequently three winners (one in each class). The winner will be the rider that best displays these key characteristics. 

What do the winners receive?

The winner of the YZ125 bLU cRU FIM Europe Cup will win a place on the MJC Yamaha EMX125 team, while the EMX85 and EMX65 riders will receive support for Yamaha Motor Europe N.V. for the 2020 season.
