What is the YZ125 bLU cRU Cup?
The opportunity of a lifetime.
‘bLU cRU’ is Yamaha’s youth development program that is actively helping talented young motocross riders make their way in the racing world with the YZ125 bLUcRU Cup.
The YZ125 bLU cRU Cup is an official European project designed to support junior riders with a passion to race. The YZ125 bLU cRU Cup is a pan-European championship for teenagers from 12-16 years of age. Riders must race the 2017 season on a Yamaha YZ125 in one of 15 selected FIM-approved national championships.
The top scoring riders registered for the European YZ125 bLU cRU Cup in each national championship will be invited to the 2017 Superfinale on October 1st which will take place at the biggest and most watched event of the year, the Monster Energy Motocross of Nations at Matterley Basin, in the United Kingdom.
The top six Superfinale riders, joined by two wildcards, will then win a multi-day Master Class with a bLU cRU Ambassador and with support of a Official Yamaha rider.
During the Master Class, the riders will be carefully observed by the professional motocross riders and industry names who have been mentoring them throughout the year. One talented youngster will be selected to receive a full professional contract, and a YZ125 bike, to race the 2018 European Championship EMX125 series on the MJC Yamaha Official EMX125 team.
The final number of spots at the Superfinale for YZ125 bLU cRU Cup riders will be announced as soon as possible.
The bLU cRU is the foundation of Yamaha’s racing pyramid, where local distributors support regional and national teams in motorcycle championships. Road racing, enduro and motocross communities grow and thrive as young fans become active participants and ambassadors, enjoying a lifetime of Yamaha product support and promotion.
